Carlson Wireless Expands GSA Contract to Include LongHaul Radio Line

Arcata, CA - April 15, 2009 - Carlson Wireless announced that its newest release, the LongHaul™ backhaul radio family, is now available to federal, state and local government agencies through the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). GSA is the US government’s premier acquisition agency, through which eligible agencies receive a special pricing on Carlson’s microwave radio products.

The LongHaul radio family currently includes the LongHaul 5x, LongHaul 4.9 (4.9 GHz) and the LongHaul T1/E1. All LongHaul products include hardened components and software optimized for critical TDM and VoIP networks. The radio is powered by Carlson’s next-generation SWiFT™ platform which provides a TrueTDM™ low fixed latency link that eliminates packet collisions or lost data during transmission. This allows the LongHaul ™ to provide carrier class QoS for analog voice, 4-wire, VoIP, and video security networks at distances beyond 80 miles.
